Food and Beverage Industry

When it comes to stainless steel fabrication of food and beverage-grade equipment, we have the skills and experience to deliver exceptional workmanship.

At Stainless Installations, we provide a complete design and installation service for the food and beverage industry. Our services include food and beverage plant installation, winery fit-outs, pipework, platforms, stainless steel tanks, service lines, on-site machinery installation and connection of services to new equipment.

Stainless steel is quickly replacing other metals as the material of choice for plant and equipment in the food and beverage industry. Our preferred stainless steel is grade 1.4304 (AISI 316) stainless steel – a popular material in the food and beverage industry because of its hygienic qualities, versatility, strength and durability.

As stainless steel has a hard, smooth and non-absorbent surface, it’s easier to keep clean and maintain a high standard of hygiene. Importantly, stainless steel is tolerant of extremely hot and freezing temperatures, and highly resistant to thermal shock. And, unlike other metals, stainless steel is non-toxic and remains inert in different conditions.

Thanks to an invisible, protective film of chromium-rich oxide, our stainless steel is also protected against corrosion and the potential damage from powerful detergents. Even after physical or chemical damage, once the hazard is removed and the surface is exposed to oxygen, the film quickly repairs itself.

The physical properties of stainless steel make it easy for us to work with and mould into different shapes. It’s the ideal metal for various machinery components and for conveyor systems.

We have provided food-grade fabrication and installation services to Schweppes, Houghton Wines, Coca Cola, Mars Confectionery and various meat-processing plants.
